Hi! I'm Pilar Macías. If you had seen me a few years ago, you would probably have found me immersed in laws, regulations, and that constant search for solutions that defines my work as a lawyer. If you had come a little closer, you would have seen nutrition books on my desk, applying every lesson to better understand how our body works.
But if you had peeked into my bathroom drawer, you would have discovered a collection of cosmetic products of all kinds. I have always been a seeker of the perfect formula, one that respects my skin and delivers on its promises.
When Ian told me about the idea for Imago Dei Skincare, I wasn't just interested; I fell in love with the project. As a user, I have always looked for the same thing you do: products that are not just marketing, but that treat my skin with respect, quality, and effective results. That's why being able to pour my energy into developing my own cosmetic line has been an incredible journey.
My compass: Ethics and well-being
Many people ask me how my two worlds, law and nutrition, blend with skincare. For me, the answer is simple: integrity.
As a lawyer: Ethics and honesty are my pillars. I don't understand a project that isn't transparent about what it offers.
As a nutritionist: I understand that well-being is holistic; health begins with what we absorb, and skin is our largest organ.
In Imago Dei, I have managed to unite everything I'm passionate about. I am involved in every step of the development because I want to be certain that what reaches your bathroom is the best we can create. My greatest joy is knowing that, through our products, we are giving you a moment of real well-being.
Falling and getting back up (stronger)
I won't lie to you: the road has had its bumps. We started from scratch twice. There were moments of doubt and a lot of exhaustion, but we never lost our conviction.
We knew we could offer something different, an honest solution for your daily life. Those "fresh starts" only served to refine our standards and ensure that when you finally held Imago Dei in your hands, it would be simply perfect.
